WELCOME – FÁILTE – BIENVENIDO. This is the first post. There’s always one. Can’t start a blog without a first post. It’s not an epic one but I just want to introduce the site. The facebook page has been running for several years now and there’s an active community of Irish living in Argentina, visitors to both Ireland and Argentina, and friends of Irish. I wanted to add something to it by creating a website where things are a little bit more permanent. The Irish community in Argentina is quite active, friendly, and engaged and there’s an opportunity to create a site that everyone can benefit from. Irish In Argentina is designed to help Irish people living in Argentina, Argentinian/Irish descendants, and Argentinians with an interest in Irish culture. Questions are welcome. Criticism is encouraged. Donations towards beer or mate are appreciated. Welcome to Irish In Argentina.
Check out the Resources page for useful information for the community of Irish people living in Argentina and South America.
If you’d like a few laughs then check the Just for Fun page.
The People page is a resource dedicated to Irish Argentines such as Guillermo Brown, Maria Elena Walsh, and Eamon Bulfin.

Hello,
I’m putting a screening tour together for a brand new documentary film I’ve just completed entitled Coming Home. The film captures the emigration experiences of Irish emigrants from from all over the world and their return journeys to live out their remaining years back in Ireland.
I have spent the past 5 years making this film at my own expense and am very passionate and enthusiastic about sharing it with the Irish Diaspora now. Further details can be found through the films website linked below. I also include some links to trailers for the film to give you a flavour of the content.
Would you be interested in hosting a special screening later this year? I typically charge a licence fee or revenue share for screenings.
Please feel free to contact me with queries or expressions of interest.
Thanks for taking the time to read.
